Crozier was a math professor at West Point Military Academy. He also served as the superintendent of the Watertown, Massachusetts Arsenal. Crozier is known for inventing the Buffington Crozier Disappearing Gun Carriage, the Wire Wound Gun and other military artillery. He also played a role in the Spanish American War and the China Relief
