The BIRDLIME 1R is the first synthetic climbing rope to be made from renewable bio based raw materials, therefore representing a further pioneering achievement by EDELRID with regard to responsible climbing equipment. More than 40% of the rope is made from castor oil based material, i. e. from a raw material made from renewable components. By employing this renewable resource, we
