Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all three reverse attachment prongs to a non magnetic metal backplate with an intact paper backer and field grey wool liner, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 38 mm (w) x 61. 59 mm (h), weighing 61. 59 mm (h),
